The main feature of the helmet is the integrated sun lens that drops down with a simple toggle latch. The shell uses a thermo-plastic injection molded composite construction using high ABS / polycarbonate alloy shell to ensure superior strength to weight ratio making this helmet lighter, stronger and all around safer. A large eye port allows for a maximum field of vision. A precision airtight eye port gasket makes the Dually 600 an ultra quiet helmet when the main visor is closed. Most standard size MX goggles will fit into the eye port and may be used while the visor is in the open position. Interior comfort padding is removable, washable and moisture wicking. A combination of laser cut & heat moulded medium density open cell foam ensures a most comfortable and pressure point free fit. The helmet is fitted with a 12 position single finger ratchet quick release & nylon webbing chinstrap retention system. The peak, face shield, and inner lens are also all replaceable, so the helmet should last you many riding seasons to come. The helmet is DOT / FMVSS 218 CERTIFIED. The Scorpion EXO-R420 isn’t some half-baked race-inspired helmet. This is the real deal, with an advanced LG polycarbonate shell. The Ellip-Tec 2 face shield pulls the shield snug, making the EXO-R420 aerodynamic. Cheek pads have an emergency release system and are washable if needed. First, helmets are randomly tested at the manufacturing site. The Lane Splitter is crafted around Biltwell’s proprietary ABS outer shell and features a shock-absorbing EPS liner with hand-stitched interior padding, cheek pads and Bio Foam chin bar cushion for comfort. Generous vents in the chin bar get the air flowing and the outlet in back lets hot air escape. The Lane Splitter shield boasts extremely accurate optics and simple hinge mechanics for high style and easy removal for replacement or cleaning. A brass peg and hole configuration on the left side of the shield offers speedy opening and secure closing with little fanfare or complication.
